Pectoral Sandpiper. Draycote Water. September 2009

This bird was originally found my by usual birding partner in crime who had gone to the site to photograph passage waders on a day I was busy so could not go. The phone call I got telling me of his find didn't do a lot to help the day's events! Nevertheless, it stayed for over a week allowing us time to get up to the site together a week later and photograph it along with several other waders who found Draycote's low water levels to their liking.
