Brunnich's Guillemot, Portland, Dorset. December 2013

The discovery of a live Brunnich's Guillemot in Portland Harbour prompted a massive twitch in December 2013 as these birds are usually found either dead or dying, or you need the ability to get to the northern isles fast to see one alive. We joined the crowds on 28th December and connected after a horrendous journey down that took almost twice as long as it should have.
