Long-billed Dowitcher. Slimbridge WWT. August 2012

This bird was discovered while I was playing cricket no more than 12 miles away from the WWT grounds. Fortunately it stayed and provided all birders with decent views although it took some a few visits to connect. Here it shows its active primary feather moult, probably a reason it hung around for quite a while! Also photographed here simply for cuteness value were a White-headed Duckling with Mum and a party of Mallard ducklings.
